Over the past few years, I’ve learned and taught myself productivity. The more I tried different things and as life happened, I realized there has been an evolution as to how I look and think about productivity now then when I first was learning.
Today, I’m going to talk about how my perspective has changed about productivity. Let’s dive in.
Productivity as a distraction
- Helped my neighbors
- Learned it for my first business
Productivity to help with mental health
- Helped my anxiety in an abusive relationship for some control in my life
Productivity for fun, help more people, and increase my skill set
- There is more to it than time management and paper planners
- My definition of busy
- Learn everything I can about the topics
Productivity with chronic illness
- Body/rest first over Business – energy management
- Used to think I had a bad memory, when it’s simply my brain fog
- Break down tasks even smaller – have a list of different tasks based on energy levels
Still continuing to learn what is best for me as I get diagnosed and adapt to new life
Productivity to be authentically me
- Share my journey and experience
- Continue learning and share pros/cons of what I learned
- Fully embrace the childfree side
- Focus more on digital products and less 1:1
- Encourage way more rest and living the slow life-lifestyle
- Importance of short-term planning/goal setting
